“The artist Pierra Kayser loves the internal moments and printouts from itself. She operates from a status of the speechlessness out in the sense of not thinking – a process behind the mental one – and creates thereby a work with the roots not in the world of framing things together. She let the drawings originate and develop. Often she does not know what follows as next and how the drawing will end. She enriches her output with her long experience with the tools and technics of creative work in the digital world.
The topics are: the illusion of the viewer, emotion and social criticism. Her interest is situated in reflective thinking as background and response to humans in its culture.
She would like to make attentively, so that humans find again more to itself and his feelings. To awake the attention on itself and for the own feelings in a world of the often frightening rationalization of the feelings in favor of a superficial free-market economy is very important to her.
The artwork is very strongly eye-oriented: the eye as symbol for the gate to the soul. She is a supporter for the language of the visuals with emotion, if words flops.

Creation is lifelong the call for Pierra. ”

My education was a self-discipline: to find in myself the roots for creation. Creation don’t stop and don’t start in the world of art.
Art is my passion.

Why do you do what you do?
(This is a real question every day!)
A bird in the head is worth two in the bush.
.
.That is me and my art. This proverb is open for interpretations: the origin “a bird in the hand” has for me sometimes a materialistic meaning and searches also for security. As artist in society I have not so much security. But in myself – “ a bird in the head” – I feel free like a bird with wings of creation, freedom and peace with myself instead of waiting what society offers. Bloom where you planted! The wise side from “ a bird in the hand/head” is, that I can go further with something what I own, what..s in me instead of dreaming of things, that I may never reach! It is an appeal to oneself to look to the own talents, they asking for development! And the last german thing is; if somebody here has a bird in the head he is a little bit grazy – I love to be “grazy” in the sense that I see things different: it is a revolt against the effort from some kinds of worlds to make the brain mechanical and industrial..

STERN
Star
.
The star is an expression of illusion. The illusion to see things, which are not real or which are real in our heads. The lust of colours and feelings fixed in these magic eyes are wandering through certain areas of emotion. The star came along with very straight cool lines but in his composition he has it´s own powerful statement. We see a mask in form of a star which grown together with the face and which is also a symbol for hiding one and showing another personality.

MISSES
.
Misses. Fashion and Aggression. This is an illustration about the theme aggresion in fashion. So many women trying to build up an image of sex and comparison with the target values of society. The price for this kind of women is high – we all know this. It is the opposite of physical integritiy.

TÄNZERIN
Dancer
.
The dancer is a symbol to dance through live, sometimes without protection from outside. So she covers her head – which shows through the tears her sadness – with her hands and trying her best to resist. Her head is the centrum and therefore the filigree part of the whole composition. There is the centrum of seeing.

SCHACHTELFRAU
Boxwoman

The Boxwomen is an abstract feeling from interwoven demands on money, society, style and deformed personality because of that. But at least the power of colours gives her the force to survive.

ÜBERRASCHUNG
Surprise
.
Everybody knows the feeling if an event takes place, which was not expected! In both cases: good and bad. We stand at a border of unknown and try to understand like the wind, but we realise, we need more time as that. So this figure puts here hands on a liquid, which is the limitation of her own being. She looks out and what she sees is – surprising!

My education was a self-discipline: to find in myself the roots for creation. Creation don’t stop and don’t start in the world of art.
But art is my passion.
I started to study creation in PR-Agencies, in editorial stuffs and in TV-Stations. I started also a career as a broadcast designer and worked over 10 years directly in TV Stations as at least a senior designer and art director. I have done a lot of on-air-design: signations, logodesign, illustration, total package design, news, over the shoulders, jingles, comics and so on. The last 10 years I have done and I do some art direction, production of logos, jingles, package designs and animations for Film and TV and for production companies, also customer liaison and support of Webdesign and text/promotionwork and friendly traders in my small office. But mainly I put now my creativity in my Artexpression.
I developed my style of drawing since 2004 – searching my real roots unattached from commercials in that. For me it is a direct way to correspond with me and my audience without looking through the commercial eyes of economy and the narrowly look of Corporate Identity in TV Stations. I draw with pencil, scan it and work it out digital. That is my new freedom.
