PRESENTATION OF TITLEANIMATION, MOTION- AND GRAPHICDESIGN

AT FIRST: I AM A HUMAN BEEING. I SEE MYSELF NOT SPLITTED AS A GRAPHICDESIGNER, ARTIST, VEGETARIAN, WRITER, MOTHER OR GERMAN. BUT – INDEED – I HAVE DEVELOPED CERTAIN AREAS!

This first stop-motion clip is a representation of my art.

WORK AS MOTION GRAPHIC DESIGNER, COMPOSER AND  ARTIST.

Ich bin Motiongrafikdesigner für TV & Film und Artist. Habe in der deutschen Fernsehlandschaft ziemlich viel gearbeitet. (Pro7/Kabelkanal/DSF/Viva/VH1/Sat.1) In den letzten Jahren arbeite ich von meinem kleinen feinen artdepartment hier in Berlin für Film- und TV. Die Titelanimationen arbeite ich mit Combustion.

A graphicartist has great responsibilities for culture. His work is a give away to society and stimulates feelings, transports know how, information and  he has a deep sense, how a human being consumes. Without using a single word he talks to his audience! That is art.

If this art is coming down because of financial pressure, zeitgeist, or disinterest and a lack of substancial feeling for quality it is always a waste of potencial. May be I can say: if you give a plant good earth, surroundings with quality and love and interest and a mental room to flourish, you can look forward to a rich harvest.

That in generally. There are very good artists out there, during my work with collegues and my myspace-time I connected a lot of them all over the world: you live in the big Artworkercommunity, good luck and strongness for you, that your rich creativity always will spread.

During my work in TV/Broadcastbusiness I discovered, that most people have no idea, what a graphicdesigner does or they think, he is working backstairs. Also the value from his work is dropped down from the lack of equal teamworkfeeling or from some big egos in other workingareas.  . But there were and are also people with interest and qualities to understand and work with these kinds of artists.

Production

Ich arbeite zunächst einen Entwurf am Photoshop aus, nachdem durch das Initial-Gespräch die Anforderungen geklärt wurden. Dieser nicht animierte Entwurf wird diskutiert, verwandelt, begutachtet und dann kann erst eine erste roughanimation produziert werden (Combustion). Diese wird – wie alles andere auch – per e-mail zu meinem Kunden versandt. Kann also überall hin. Schön. Nach Abgleichung der Zeit/Frameanzahl mit dem Editor und Abnahme der Animation wird die errechnete Tif-Sequenz auf den Server hochgeladen . Dort liegt er zur Abholung in der jeweiligen Stadt bereit. Der Editor vor Ort baut diese Sequenz im Schnitt zusammen und ein.

Wenn ich mit dem Editlab hier zusammenarbeite, entfällt klarer Weise der virtuelle Transportweg.

Here some pic`s from my broadcast-time. I spend 7 years with soccer as senior designer, later than as art director and at the end of “ran” 2002 also as chief of graphic department.
